Our San Roque Landscaping Job
I was asked to take a look at a parkway in San Roque. Here is what it looked like when I arrived:
As you can see this landscape didn’t look that great. And believe it or not they told me they tried to keep the weeds out, but it was a lot of work. They asked if I would at least pull all the weeds and take out some of the dirt, so they could at least add mulch.
I explained that mulch in a parkway can become a maintenance headache because it gets very messy especially when dogs are walking through it. I offered a low maintenance solution, by adding some rocks.
At Sierra Landscape Designs we make sure every job is completed with the highest standards. We dug out about 4 inches of old dirt weeds and rocks. To make sure weeds don’t become a problem we then added a weed barrier. After that we added gopher wire because in this neighborhood there is a gopher problem. After that we added copper rose rocks and some flagstone from SB Stone. We left the purple plants known as Wandering Jews to provide some height and beauty. This Santa Barbara landscape is extremely water wise because the Wandering Jews do not require much water at all.
